چکیده
Evaporation of metastable droplets in an immiscible liquid can occur a wide range practical applications and particular cryogenic systems due to the low saturation temperature liquid. In this article, we show experimentally that incomplete explosion droplet lead ‘film evaporation’ configuration, where remaining is eventually separated from host by established vapour layer. Based on transient heat diffusion model, identified necessary but not sufficient condition for complete must absorb, before explosion, amount larger than latent required full evaporation, i.e. global Jacob number Ja≥1. addition, measured superheat limits pentane isohexane are 420.65 K 444.95 respectively, which very close theoretical Spinodal points (≤ 1.5 K) other reported values existing literature. Therefore, experimental setup here be used as alternative way quantify limit. The Droplet relaxation time was also found scaled square root characteristic time.

Thermally induced collision of droplets in an immiscible outer fluid
Micro-total analysis systems (μTAS) have attracted wide attention and are identified as a promising solution for sample transport, filtration, chemical reactions, separation and detection. Despite their popularity, the selection of an appropriate mechanism for droplet transport and coalescence has always been a challenge. This paper investigates the use of Marangoni flow as a mechanism for levi...
متن کاملImpact of drops on the surface of immiscible liquids.
Impact of drops on the surface of an immiscible liquid is studied. We show that in addition to the commonly-observed lens structure at the air-liquid interface, drops released from critical heights above the target liquid can sustain the impact and at the end maintain a spherical ball-shape configuration above the surface despite undergoing large deformation. The existence of this metastable st...
متن کاملMixing of the Immiscible Liquids in the Entrance Region of a T-Type Chamber Using Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF) Method
A Laser Induced Fluorescence technique (LIF) has been used to study the mixing behavior of two emerging streams in a T-Type mixing chamber. A mixing index on the basis of digital image light intensities is calculated. It has been shown that averaging over more than 800 images leads to a stable mixing index calculation. Moreover, the effect of equal and un-equal flow rates on the mixing behavior...
متن کاملMetastable quark–antiquark droplets within the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model
Chemically non–equilibrated quark–antiquark matter is studied within the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model. The equations of state of non–strange (q = u, d) and strange (q = s) qq systems are calculated in the mean–field approximation. The existence of metastable bound states with zero pressure is predicted at finite densities and temperatures T ∼ 50 MeV. It is shown that the minimum energy per particle...

A steady applied shearing flow that is not so fast as to lead to droplet rupture will eventually stretch a droplet into a roughly ellipsoidal steady-state shape, and the steady-state degree of deformation, defined as the deformation para...
